How powerful is it, really?
Each channel has its own Class D amplifier, fed by an oversized power supply, and the subwoofer has a DSP limiter that protects it at high volume. We do not headline peak wattage: peak ratings describe a brief instantaneous maximum and are not comparable between brands.
Does it play Dolby Atmos and DTS:X?
Yes. It decodes Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X and DTS-HD Master Audio. With five speakers and a subwoofer there are no height speakers, so Atmos and DTS:X are rendered virtually - the height effect is simulated, not produced by speakers above you.
What does the room calibration do?
You place the included microphone at the main seat and start the calibration. The system plays test tones through each speaker, then sets each speaker's delay so the sound arrives together, the crossover between the satellites and the subwoofer, and an EQ that corrects peaks caused by your walls.
Is shipping included?
Yes, within the contiguous United States: the price you see is the price you pay to have the system delivered, insured and tracked. For Alaska, Hawaii, US territories or an address outside the United States, contact us before ordering and we will quote the freight in writing.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. After you place your order we email you a secure card payment link within one business day; bank transfer is also possible. Nothing is charged until you have seen the final amount.
Do I need a separate AV receiver or amplifier?
No. The processor and amplifiers are built into the subwoofer cabinet, with the display and controls on the front panel and the connections on the back. There is nothing else to buy, match or find shelf space for - one mains lead and one HDMI cable to the TV's eARC port, and the system is running.
How big does the room need to be?
The system wants enough depth to put the two surrounds behind the seating rather than level with it, which in practice means a room from roughly 11 × 13 feet (3.5 × 4 m) upwards. It works in smaller rooms too - you place the surrounds on the side walls just behind the sofa and turn the subwoofer down a little. What matters more than floor area is getting the satellites to ear height and angling them at the seat, which is exactly what the swivel brackets in the carton are for.
What is actually in the carton?
Six speakers in all - the powered subwoofer with the built-in processor, the center channel and four satellites - plus a room calibration microphone, a remote control, oxygen-free copper speaker cables, an A/V interconnect cable, a TV/table stand for the center channel and metal tilt-and-swivel brackets for the satellites. Everything ships together in a single carton.
Will it work with my TV, projector or games console?
Yes. Connect the TV's HDMI eARC port to the subwoofer with one cable; consoles and players can also go through its HDMI inputs, with 4K/120 Hz and 8K passthrough. There is also a digital audio input for older TVs, and Bluetooth for phones, tablets and laptops. If you are unsure about a particular TV, send us its model number and we will check the connection for you.
What is covered by the warranty and the return window?
Every system ships insured and tracked, is covered by a 2-year warranty on the receiver, the speakers and the supplied accessories - handled by us, not by a third party - and comes with a 30-day home audition window to return it if it does not suit the room. The full terms are on the Warranty and Return Policy pages.
